Developer Withdraws Request For 157-Lot Subdivision On Padgett Lane

  • Tuesday, September 13, 2022

A developer has pulled a request for a 157-lot subdivision on 44 acres on Padgett Lane near Snow Hill Road.

G&G Developers of Chattanooga had faced extensive opposition from neighbors, who said they wanted to keep the less dense character of that section.

The case was before the Planning Commission on Monday with a number of those in opposition at the meeting.

The planning staff said there currently is no sewer to the site, but the WWTA had pledged future coverage.

Another issue is that the access to the site currently is across an easement on a private road.

Planning Commission members advised developer James Goodwin to meet with residents on the project.
