Hugh "Sandy" Hannah III
Hugh "Sandy" Hannah III, 72, of Ooltewah, passed away on September 1, 2022, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.
Born in Chattanooga, he graduated from Baylor school and attended The University of Chattanooga.
He retired as president and owner of Displaycraft in Dalton, Ga.
Sandy was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church but attended Christ United Methodist Church for many years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hugh Hannah Jr., and Shirley Knowles Hannah.
He is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 53 years, Jayne Funk Hannah; son, Chip (Elizabeth) Hannah, Alcoa, Tn.; daughter, Stacey (Bart) Cole, Cumming, Ga.; his pride and joy were his grandchildren including granddaughters, Hannah and Avery Cole, and grandsons, Henry and Charlie Hannah; sister, Barbara Barnes, brothers, David Hannah and Mark (Rachel) Hannah; several nieces, nephews, and a host of good friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 6, at 3 p.m. at Christ United Methodist Church with Pastor David Hall officiating.
Visitation will be at the church from 2-3 p.m.
