Percy Martin Aler
Percy Martin Aler passed away from this life into his heavenly home on Sunday, September 25, 2022.
Percy was a lighthearted man, loved to laugh, dance and say "PARTY." He touched so many lives at Life Bridges where he had lived for some 40 years. His life was enhanced, not only by the friends he made but by the free spirited life he lived.
Percy was born on Oct. 31, 1955, in Oak Ridge, Tn.
Percy was preceded in death by his parents, Percy and Evelyn Aler Sr.
He is survived by his only sister, Joyce Aler; nephews, Deon Gunter, Dante McCoy and Cedric Gunter; niece, Christy McCoy; two great-nieces, Selina Clark and Zai Gunter; cousins, Angeline Mitchell and Twanna Crawford; and many other family members too numerous to list. Percy is also survived by special friends and caretakers, the Lawson family and special “surrogate” mom and dad, Grant and Freda Hill.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Life Bridges in Cleveland, Tn.
Funeral services will be held at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home at 12:30 p.m. on Sept. 30, with Pastor Briggs and David Luzador officiating.
Interment will be at Oak Ridge Memorial Park and the family will receive friends prior to his chapel service from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Pallbearers include Nathan Lawson, Jason Boling, Deon Gunter, Joseph Gallagher, Dakoda Newman and Sean Quinn.
Ralph Buckner Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
