University Surgical Associates Adds Katie Duffy To Leadership Team As COO

Health Executive Katie Duffy, , PharmD, MBA, has been appointed at chief operating officer as she joins the leadership team at University Surgical Associates.

Dr. Duffy previously served as vice president of operations for Erlanger Health System. She has over 15 years of clinical experience and over 10 years of operational leadership experience, having served as the Erlanger senior director of pharmacy for Erlanger prior to taking on the VP of operations role. "In that capacity, Dr. Duffy successfully built, developed and coordinated teams and achieved remarkable financial, clinical and quality outcomes," officials said.

"Dr. Duffy brings a wealth of experience in effectively guiding healthcare organizations and serving the community," says University Surgical Associates CEO Craig Sarine. "She embodies our culture of delivering exceptional, compassionate care and will play a pivotal role as the practice continues evolving to meet the needs of our patients, referring providers, surgical trainees and employees."  
 
Dr. Duffy earned a bachelor’s degree in English from Mercer University, a doctorate in pharmacy from Mercer’s College of Pharmacy and a master’s in business administration from Mercer’s Stetson-Hatcher School of Business.
