Coming off a season-opening win at Asheville on Sunday, the Chattanooga Mocs women's tennis team is set to travel to Bowling Green, Ky., to face WKU for a non-conference tilt on Friday afternoon.
The match is slated for a 2 p.m. ET / 1 p.m. CT start at the Michael O. Buchanon Tennis Facility. WKU and Chattanooga will meet for the third-straight season and the 13th time overall between the two programs.
The Mocs (1-0) earned a narrow and hard-fought 4-3 decision in its season-opener at UNC Asheville on Sunday.
Freshman Pippa Bosman provided the match-clinching point behind a 7-5, 6-3 straight-set victory in the No. 6 singles slot.
"The women put in a good week of practice trying to clean up a few things going in the WKU match," said head coach Chad Camper.
"WKU is a well-coached team and some adjustments have to be made in order to be successful."
WKU (1-0) enters the match on Friday with a 1-0 record after posting a 4-3 victory over Bellarmine last Saturday. The Lady Toppers are coming off a stellar 2021-22 campaign after finishing 18-9 overall which included a 4-3 victory over UTC.
Match results will be posted on GoMocs.com when made available following the conclusion of play.
