Richard Vorwerk
Richard Vorwerk, 95, of Ooltewah, passed away on Saturday, January 23, 2023 at his home.
He was born on June 9, 1927, in Akron, Ohio to the late Howard and Mildred Vorwerk.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Robertine Esther Vorwerk; and brother, Norman Vorwerk.
Richard was a longtime member of Ridgedale Baptist Church and the Friendship Sunday School Class. Mr. Vorwerk was retired from Combustion Engineering after many years of service.
He is survived by his daughters Cathy Darlene Faulkner (Pete), Harrison, TN, and Jeri Rogers (Jim), Jacksonville, FL; grandsons Eric Faulkner (Brittany) with great grandsons Zeb and Liam, Ooltewah, TN; Dustin Karas (Stacy), Colorado Springs, CO; and Kevin Karas, Soddy Daisy, TN. Other survivors are two nephews, Karl Vorwerk, Michael Vorwerk, and one niece Lauren Vorwerk.
A private service will be officiated by Dr. Bill Owens.
Mr. Vorwerk will be laid to rest with his wife, Robertine at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
