Jennifer “Curly” Johnson Williams, passed away on Monday, October 9, 2023.

She was an outstanding athlete at Red Bank High School and a four-year letterman in basketball, softball and volleyball earning All City, All County and All State honors in each sport. She provided the leadership required for her era through her mentors of Tom Weathers, John Crane, George Hamrick, and Don Bishop. She was Miss Red Bank High School in 1989 and earned a basketball scholarship to the University of Kentucky. Coach Weathers said she was the best natural athlete to ever play at Red Bank High School. Jennifer obtained her master’s degree from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She was an educator, assistant principle and coach at Girls Preparatory School, Soddy-Daisy High School, East Hamilton High School, and Sale Creek High School. Jennifer was a member of Red Bank Baptist Church and also attended Falling Water Baptist Church. She was a joy to be near and possessed a special talent for accepting any challenge while still maintaining a friendship with her competitors. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Jennifer was preceded in death by her grandparents, Bill and Charlotte Johnson and Charles and Emma Milligan.

Survivors are her children, Jake Williams and wife Bayli and Reagan Perkins and husband, Tyler; grandchildren, Scout and Parker Williams; parents, John and Liz Johnson; sisters, Joanna Crooks and husband, Brian and Julie Hutcherson and husband, Bobby; nephews, Reece Hutcherson and wife, McKenzie, Rod Hutcherson, and Rip Hutcherson; special friend, Ernie McCarson.

Visitation will be on Friday from 4-7 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Red Bank Baptist Church. Services will follow on Saturday, Oct. 14, at 1 p.m. at Red Bank Baptist Church with Dr. Fred Steelman officiating.

Burial will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens with Jake Williams, Tyler Perkins, Bobby Hutcherson, Reece Hutcherson, Rod Hutcherson, and Ripley Hutcherson serving as pallbearers.
