Bethel Christian Academy (BCA) is expanding its enrollment to serve more students. The school is a fully-accredited Christian school serving middle and high school students on the campus of Bethel Bible Village. It has traditionally limited its enrollment to the residents of Bethel Bible Village but has now opened its enrollment to accommodate non-residential students, officials said.
The entire learning experience at Bethel Christian Academy is trauma-informed, from the curriculum to the staff. The school provides students a small classroom environment where they receive academic, social, and emotional support so they can reach their God-given potential. Each student has a master’s-level social worker available as a resource for crisis intervention, referrals, skill building, and other needs that arise, it was stated.
“We are excited to serve Chattanooga by expanding enrollment to non-residential students,” said Rosalind Connor, president and chief executive officer of Bethel Bible Village. “By serving the residents of Bethel Bible Village, we’ve gained valuable experience in structuring a school that can provide the academic and emotional support students need who’ve had difficulty thriving in traditional school settings. Our low teacher-student ratio makes sure every student gets the attention they need to catch up and discover a path to success. That path may be to post-secondary education, to a vocational trade, or to the military”
Bethel Christian Academy serves residents in grades 6 through 12 and is licensed by the state of Tennessee. The school is accredited by Cognia, which recognizes commitment to quality and excellence in education on a national and international level. A high school diploma from Bethel Christian Academy is accepted by any college or university.
“I have worked my entire career with students who are at risk of not succeeding in the traditional school setting,” said Tracy Snead, principal of Bethel Christian Academy. “We believe success for our students is a team effort. We work with students, social workers, counselors, teachers, and legal guardians or parents as a coordinated effort to reach the goals and objectives established for each student.”
The school recently updated its branding, website, and promotional materials as part of its expansion efforts. Anyone interested in learning more about Bethel Christian Academy or applying for enrollment is encouraged to visit bethelbca.org for more information.
