Jerry Ault Wells
Jerry Ault Wells, 83, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, from Intestinal Vascular Disease.
After graduating from high school, he began his apprenticeship as a lather under the tutelage of his uncle, Dave Osborne. He was drafted into the U. S. Army in August of 1963. After his discharge he continued his craftsmanship as a carpenter. Jerry was meticulous and took pride in his work on such notable buildings as the Chapel at the University of the South, Chattanooga Golf and Country Club, and the entrance ceiling of the IMAX Theater. He loved golf and was a member of the Rivermont Golf Club for many years and in his last years he played at Dogwood Hills. He and his friends made many memories on the golf course. Please, golfer buddies, play a round and then come to visit Jerry in your sweaty golf clothes to share your tales of the best shot of the day and the best round remembered.
