Frank A. Tomanelli
Frank A. Tomanelli, of Ooltewah, Tennessee, (formerly of Clermont, Florida) passed away peacefully on December 13, 2023.
He was born on December 14, 1932, in Brooklyn, NY where he grew up. As a teenager he loved to roller skate and performed often in local and regional figure skating competitions, often winning medals. He also competed as a body builder. He served proudly in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Returning to Brooklyn after the service he married his love, Margaret, in 1955. They moved to Long Island, NY where they raised five boys and ran an HVAC contracting company participating in the construction of several large NYC high rises and many commercial buildings on Long Island.
Frank was always full of energy so when they retired to West Palm Beach, Fl., you could find him either on the tennis court or enjoying his passion for ballroom dancing with Marge. They would eventually move to an active adult community in Clermont where the couple were often the center of attraction on the dance floor and stage. In his spare time, he served the senior community by providing assistance in obtaining insurance coverage to supplement Medicare. Frank was loved dearly by family and friends for his easy-going manner and loving attitude.
Frank was predeceased by his parents, Cosmo and Grace Tomanelli and his youngest son, Frank Tomanelli.
Frank is survived by his wife, Margaret Catalano Tomanelli, sons, Mark Tomanelli (Carol), Cory Tomanelli, Dean Tomanelli (Catherine Ren), Douglas Tomanelli, and 13 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, siblings Grace Tomanelli Meyer and Joseph Tomanelli (Nancy), as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
