The Silent Artist - Lawson Whitaker

  • Friday, February 10, 2023

Lawson Whitaker was never a loud person. Always kept to himself and never sook recognition, but when his camera was in his hands he spoke volumes. He took multiple aerial shots of Chattanooga and the surrounding area. He was always known for some amazing pictures of Chattanooga.

He could usually be found at the Chattanooga Market selling his work and can be found in many board rooms and in the rooms of many local companies and other private collections throughout our town.

I knew Lawson as a great photographer, but I knew him better as a great guy. Every time we would see each other we would spend a few minutes catching up. He was one of the good ones. Lawson passed away a few days ago. He will be missed.

If you want to see some of the most amazing pictures of Chattanooga that I personally believe have ever been taken, his work can be seen at www.lawsonwhitakerphoto.com
