Dorothy Suevannah Rodgers Plemons, 80, of Sweetwater, passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2023. Dorothy was born on Sept. 15, 1942 in Sweetwater to the late William and Ellen Rodgers.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her children, Rhonda Pressley, Roy Plemons, Jr., David Plemons and Steven Plemons; and her brother, Hugh “Buck” Rodgers.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her children, Teresa Renfrey, Dottie Spurgeon, Betty Wallace and Kathy Grimes; along with a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family and friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, March 1 at Companion Funeral Home of Athens at 2 p.m., with Pastor Teddy Clowers officiating. The family will be receiving friends from noon–2 p.m., prior to the service. A Graveside service is to follow at Forkner’s Chapel Cemetery in Sweetwater.
