Erlanger’s 19th Annual Dinner Of Distinction Raises Over $65,000

  • Tuesday, March 14, 2023

Erlanger Health System Foundation hosted its annual Dinner of Distinction to honor Drs. Chris Young and Jon Cohen, as well as Lynda Minks Hood and Pat Eller Lee. The annual celebration event raised over $65,000.

The annual event recognizes Distinguished Physicians, Gordon Street Distinguished Community Leaders, and Special Honorees. Honorees are chosen for their enduring commitment to improving the health of the community, as well as demonstrating unquestionable character and human compassion. Additional criteria used to choose honorees include: a person who has contributed a lifetime of medical benefit to the community and a person committed to the healing mission and values of Erlanger, said officials.

This annual event helps raise funds towards the general fund aiding the greatest needs at Erlanger. As a nonprofit, generous support from the community is integral to Erlanger’s mission of compassionately caring for people. This generosity allows physicians, nurses and staff to push the boundaries of its mission by funding new equipment, enhancing facilities, and growth in programs that could not be achieved without the community’s support.

Julie Taylor, president of Erlanger Foundation, said, “We want to thank our community for continuing to support Erlanger and the amazing honorees from this year’s event. Congratulations again to our award winners and all those who made it such a success.”
