Linda Rebecca Boyd
Linda Rebecca Boyd, age 83, of Rocky Face, Georgia, passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at her home.
She is preceded in death by her husband, John Kenneth "Ken" Boyd; and parents, Lester and Lillian Bearden.
She was a member of Rocky Face Baptist Church. She worked as a librarian at Westside Middle School. She taught children’s and women’s Sunday school classes for over 50 years, and recently spent much of her time volunteering at City of Refuge.
She is survived by her daughter, Andrea Boyd of Ada, Oklahoma; son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Christel Boyd of Rome; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Sue and Bob Glassco of Tunnel Hill, Kathy and Bob Williams of Dalton; brother and sister-in-law, Barron and Elaine Bearden of Dalton; grandchildren, Gabrielle and Gavin Boyd, Jesse (Whitney), Kaleb (Micah), John Paul (Heather) and Courtney Gordon; and great-grandchildren, Chasten, Harden, Brooks, Asher, Ikaika, Hayden, Lily, Madison, Olivia, and Josie, with two more on the way.
The funeral service will be Monday, March 20, at 1 p.m. at the Julian Peeples Rocky Face Chapel with Rev. Van Smith officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday, March 19, from 2-5 p.m.
Burial will be in Whitfield Memorial Gardens.
