The Salvation Army of Chattanooga received donations on Monday from the McCallie School to provide Easter meals for Chattanooga’s senior adults in need.

McCallie School middle and high school volunteers collected donations including ham, canned vegetables, boxed potatoes, quick bread or yeast bread mix, canned fruit cocktail, jell-O mix, mini marshmallows, dessert mix, butter or margarine and bagged Easter candy.

The Salvation Army’s social services team distributed 50 Easter blessing baskets with the donated items to senior adults who might not otherwise have a complete Easter meal to cook at home.
