Lenker, Charles Grant, Jr.

Charles Grant Lenker, Jr. of Ooltewah, 67, passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at his home. He was married to Sharon Lenker, who just previously passed on March 6; the love of his life for 47 years. He retired after 48 years with the United States postal service, after servicing several surrounding cities and counties. Charles was a former member of the Goodnewsmen gospel group.  He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather that loved his family deeply.  

He is preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Brannock Lenker; father, Charles Grant Lenker, Sr.; and mother, Marilyn Joy Phillips Lenker.

He leaves behind his daughter, Heidi Quinn (Johnny); son, Jason Lenker; grandchildren, Noah Lenker, Colin Lenker, Natalya Quinn, Jacquelyn Lenker and Nickolas Quinn; brothers, Stephen P. Lenker, Sr. andTheodore A. Lenker; and sister, Cynthia S. Lenker Fratecelli.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, April 8 at 6 p.m. at Serenity of Cleveland Funeral Home, with Pastor David Reynolds officiating and Minister Sherri Myers.

Gathering of family and friends will be prior to the service from 3-6 p.m.

Serenity of Cleveland Funeral Home and Cremation Services is in charge of arrangements.
