CSCC Nursing Alumni Reception Is March 30

  • Wednesday, March 8, 2023
Cleveland State Community College Nursing Department and Alumni Relations invite nursing alumni to the second annual Nursing Alumni Reception on Thursday, March 30 from 5-6:30 p.m. in the atrium of the Health and Science Center on campus.

Current and former nursing instructors will join alumni for this annual event to celebrate the accomplishments of nursing alumni. There will be refreshments and door prizes as alumni have the opportunity to reconnect and network with classmates, instructors and staff.

Jill Norton Woodruff, director of Annual Giving and Alumni Relations, said, "It is exciting to honor and celebrate our nursing alumni by having them come back to campus.
This is a great opportunity for our alumni to reconnect with nursing faculty, visit with classmates, meet other alumni and tour the new nursing department, which is very impressive."

Greg Edwards, MSN, RN, NHDP-BC, EMT-P, interim director of Nursing at Cleveland State, said, “We are excited to welcome back our alumni. Ranked as one of the state’s best nursing programs, graduates of the program work in hospitals, school systems, nursing homes, doctors’ offices, home health care and many other areas. Out of 44 nursing schools in Tennessee, the nursing program at Cleveland State ranks fourth in the state. Out of more than 1,700 nursing programs nationally, Cleveland State ranks #81. The three-year average NCLEX-RN passing rate is 95.70%, giving the Cleveland State program an overall grade of A.”

The First Horizon Foundation provides support to Cleveland State Alumni Relations for this and other events.

All CSCC nursing alumni are invited to attend. RSVP by March 27 at alumni@clevelandstatecc.edu or call 423-614-8703 for additional information.
