Acclaimed singer, songwriter Tomberlin will bring her unique contemporary folk style to Barking Legs on May 1 at 8 p.m.

NPR's Bob Boilen put Tomberlin's latest album, "I don't know who needs to hear this," at the top of his favorite music list from 2022.

Tickets are $16 and are expected to go quickly. Buy them at SoftAnimal.org.

Review for Tomberlin:

She’s a pastor’s kid from Florida and raised in Illinois. She's also queer.

She left the church and her home and started writing songs. She posted some on Bandcamp, and less than a year after her first live show, she went on Jimmy Kimmel and moved to L.A., where she wrote “Projections” in 2020.

Then the pandemic came. She eventually settled in Brooklyn and recorded her latest album in two weeks.
