2 Intersections To Have Traffic Pattern Changes

  • Wednesday, May 14, 2025

Two intersections will have traffic pattern changes:

Petty Road at Southernwood Drive Intersection

A new three-way stop is now in effect at this intersection to improve safety based on a recent traffic study.

Motorists should exercise caution as drivers adjust to the change.

Broad Street at W 7th Street Intersection

Due to ongoing Tivoli Theatre restoration, temporary lane closures on W 7th Street and Broad Street necessitate the following traffic pattern adjustments to enhance flow and provide a secure pedestrian/bicycle detour:

  • Closures:

    • W 7th Street westbound: Right lane and street parking between Broad Street and Chestnut Street.

    • Broad Street southbound: Right lane from W 7th Street through the first half of the block.

    • Broad Street southbound: All street parking on the west side within this section.

  • Pattern Changes:

    • Broad Street southbound: The sidewalk and bike lane are detoured within the former right lane around the construction. The right lane approaching W 7th Street is now a dedicated ‘right turn only’ lane. The left lane remains for through traffic.

    • W 7th Street westbound approaching Broad Street:

      • Left lane: Left Turn Only

      • Center lane: Through traffic to Chestnut Street

      • Right lane: Right Turn Only

Motorists should exercise caution as drivers adjust to the change.
