Ernest Dale Jones, 64, of Flintstone, GA, went to his heavenly home on April 22, 2023, after a long illness.

Born in Los Angeles, CA to the late Cecil and Betty Jones on February 13, 1959, Dale lived most of his life on the family farm in Chattanooga Valley.

A long-time entrepreneur, Dale's first job was in the family service station business working alongside his parents and sister. He also owned a Snap-On tool dealership, which led to lifelong friendships and several sales awards, and then spent the last 21 years of his working career as a long-haul truck driver, finally as an owner-operator. With a quick smile, he made friends everywhere he went and was always willing to lend a helping hand.

His hobbies included auto repair/restoration, hunting, shooting, wood and metal working, and Mexican food.

He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Karla and Jack E Mullinax Il, also of Flintstone; his special cousin, Gwenda Jones, and her husband, John Bredstrand, of Vancouver, WA; nephew, Jack A. Mullinax, and his wife, Carly, of Burke, VA; stepmother, Sherry Jones, of Chattanooga, aunt Nancy Jones of Tucson, AZ; step-siblings, cousins, nieces and nephews.

The family greatly appreciates the love and support from Chattanooga Valley Church of the Nazarene, where Dale also attended.

A graveside service will be held at Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at 1 p.m. with Dr. Hunter Cummings and Rev. Roger Hutcheson officiating.
