Turner Homes, a family business out of Knoxville, has been developing property and building homes for over 52 years. Turner Homes and its sister company, Woody Creek Realty, recently opened an office in Ooltewah at 6108 Ooltewah Georgetown Road. Already, the company has three communities underway in the Chattanooga area with the first community, James Creek, located on Ooltewah Georgetown Road.

The Chattanooga Area Division will be run by two locals – Chris Jessen will oversee the Turner Homes operations and David Dees will oversee the Woody Creek Realty operations.

"Both leaders have lived in Chattanooga for many years and are committed to seeing the community thrive," officials said. "The leadership team of Turner Homes has been involved in not-for-profit efforts for 10 years in Chattanooga and their love for the area made it a natural place to expand operations. The Chattanooga area is in the midst of a housing shortage and Turner Homes looks forward to being a part of the solution of providing attainable housing for a growing city."

On Tuesday, Turner Homes held a groundbreaking ceremony to celebrate its entry into the Chattanooga area. Construction for this first neighborhood, “James Creek,” will begin this summer. James Creek is in the North Ooltewah area and is a combination of beautifully designed townhomes and single-family detached homes. This 118-home neighborhood will feature floor plans from 1,362 sq. ft. to 2,363 sq. ft. and will be priced from the $300,000s.
