Cindy Burnette, 63, of Cleveland, departed this life peacefully on May 31, 2023 at a Chattanooga hospital, with her family at her side.
She was born on Dec. 3, 1959 in Elmira, NY to the late James and Edna Hults Bailey. Cindy enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, swimming, and had a passion for flea market sales.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Edna Hults Bailey; siblings, Nina, Ernestine, Glenda, Johnnie, Ronnie, Clyde, Anita and Teena; one great-nephew, Terrick Bailey; brother-in-law, Thomas Burnette.
Left to cherish the many memories include her husband, James Ronnie Burnette; children, Courtney Ann Presswood; siblings, Lorraine (Albert) Bricka, James (Becky) Bailey and Ginger (Keith) Powers; father and mother-in-law, James (Dovie) Burnette; several nieces and nephews, Joby Bailey, Jacob Bailey, Nate Bailey, Jolene Bailey, Tessa, Amber and Whitney; and best friend, Helen Jones.
A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, June 6 in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Hedden Cemetery (Mountain View Baptist Church), with her family serving as pallbearers.
Family and friends will gather from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Tuesday, prior to the service at the funeral home.
