RE: Blackburn Says Trump Indictment By Justice Department Part Of Vendetta

Senator Blackburn is wrong. It appears that Blackburn and others do not understand the rule of law; nor how to evaluate whether a crime could have been committed. Trump’s actions have been very dishonorable and has been viewed as a betrayal to the people of the United States. I am disappointed that Blackburn doesn’t support the people of the United States; and chooses to support a twice impeached; rightly indicted ex-president who continuously force responsible people of the United States to question the content of his character. We survived him once and now he wants to be president again.

Trump and some Republicans have claimed that the rest of us have a “vendetta” against this former president. That is the claim of a narcissistic, self-absorbed failed candidate who cannot admit he lost an election. Also, Senator Blackburn should know that there was no FBI raid on Trump’s home. There was an executed subpoena. The bottom line is that every alleged crime that Trump took into the White House when he was elected or committed while he was there is being addressed. These alleged crimes were deferred because he was in office; but not forgotten. If he is not guilty, the rule of law will clear him. If he is guilty, the rule of law will convict him. I would think everyone would want to know the truth. And if you don’t want to know the truth; why not? Some doubt that truth rises; but it truly does. And, when you dig for dirt—that is exactly what you get.

So, if there is any truth out there that would warrant an indictment to be issued to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton or current President Biden, it will rise to the top. And, the rule of law applies to us all. What Blackburn and other elected officials should do is stop promoting Trump’s talking points. I will hear Trump say something (a fact checked lie, denial or deception) and the next thing I know the exact same words are coming out of Republicans’ mouths in the House of Representatives and Senate to the American people.

Ms Smith, in light of your confidence in our current legal system, let me ask you why the FBI held on to Hunter Biden’s laptop during the 2020 campaign if that rule of law you cite was in effect for the Biden family? Was it so 50 so-called intelligence experts could cast doubt on its authenticity to take hold in the news and social media?

Why did former FBI chief, Comey, credited with both stopping prosecution of Hillary Clinton as well as her election, just endorse an octogenarian, career politician Joe Biden, who had classified documents for decades in several unsecured locations and polls show a majority in his party don’t want him to run again?

Don’t you find it more than coincidence that after announcing for president, Trump was indicted in NYC? Now after a House committee has repeatedly and publicly asked the FBI for a document alleged to have evidence of a crime committed by Joe Biden when he was Vice President, Trump is indicted by a federal prosecutor? So why did the FBI hold that document for so long before allowing members of the committee to see it? Were they waiting for this indictment to come down?

Obviously Mike Pence is not being charged as he is no threat to the Deep State. And if you are waiting for the law to “play out” on the Bidens, you may learn what is really behind decades of UFOs before that ever happens.

There appears to be a pattern here, but I don’t expect those who thought Trump was guilty of something, anything, the day he took office to ever believe it. It reminds me of Lewis Grizzard’s comment about his mother, “she believed man didn’t go to the moon, but wrasslin’ was real.”

Ralph Miller

The Trump name is synonymous with legal problems. The Trump University fiasco is a great example, and don’t forget their false charity scam. Trump has had hundreds of lawsuits, which is not so uncommon for a businessman, until you bother to look into why he was sued to start with.

The twice impeached occupant of our White House even managed to grift millions of dollars by using his office as leverage to overcharge the Secret Service, and demanding that foreign dignitaries stay at his hotel.

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg indicted Trump for falsifying New York business records in order to dodge taxes, defrauding banks, and for concealing damaging information and unlawful activities from American Voters before and after the 2016 election.

In May, a jury found Trump liable for sex abuse and defamation of E. Jean Carroll, and awarded her a $5 million settlement. True to form, Trump immediately continued defaming Carroll who in turn filed another suit against him. It was so telling in how rabid Trump and his worshippers are, that it caused the judge in that case to keep the names of the jurors secret.

Every time Trump lands in trouble, he sends out fundraising appeals for money from his cult members. Those worshippers dutifully fork over their cash to help their idol, who boasts that he is a billionaire, to pay for his legal bills. Then, almost on cue, the cult starts playing the victim card blasting, and even threatening the investigators and their family members at the FBI, the DOJ, the Courts, Democrats, and even the media.

This past week we saw another legal problem bearing down on Trump, and this one has the potential to be the biggest one he has ever faced. The Florida Grand Jury empaneled by the DOJ, indicted Trump with 37 criminal counts, 31 of which are “Espionage Act” violations. He didn’t just have documents concerning our nuclear weapons, he had military invasion plans, our defense plans in case we were invaded, and our allies military capabilities.

Republican leaders, including most of those vying for the 2024 nomination, echoed Trump’s complaint about the “weaponization of the Justice Department.” There were a few notable exceptions, such as Chris Christie, Mitt Romney, and Asa Hutchinson, but most that should have known better chose to take the spineless path and attack the DOJ.

Why do Republicans always find fault with our FBI, DHS, DOJ and IRS, the very safeguards protecting our democracy from becoming an oligarchy?

I don’t know how the document indictments will play out, even though reading the indictment the case seems clear cut and damning.

Also, over the past year the Fulton County District Attorney has been investigating whether Trump and his minions illegally meddled in the 2020 election. Judging from what has been seen and heard, indictments will be coming out of Georgia real soon. The saddest part is not that charges are forthcoming, it’s that the district attorney has already warned the members of her Department and the State Courts system to increase security.

Because it’s Trump, should the New York prosecutor, the Fulton County prosecutor, the DOJ Prosecutor just ignore that laws were broken and refuse to prosecute? We either are a nation of laws, or we are not. Trump is not above the law, and if he is innocent, he and his cult have nothing to worry about by going to trial.

Here is what the Right-Wing faithful doesn't seem to understand. I like Joe Biden, and yes I am a loyal Democrat. But if he broke the law then I have no problem with prosecuting him.

Hunter Biden is a civilian and is entitled to the same rights you and I deserve under the law. But if he broke the law, prosecute him.

After more hearings than you can shake a stick at, along with multiple special prosecutors being put on the case, Hillary Clinton is still free and walking around. If there was a there-there why isn’t she in jail? Either Republicans are the ineptest lawyers to ever exist, or she is the most sinister villain to ever walk the earth. Give it a rest about the emails, already.

You see, we Democrats haven’t built a golden idol of Obama, Biden, or Clinton, and we don’t worship at their feet. If they have indeed broken the law, then prosecute them. It is quite one thing to make accusation after accusation against them, and another to prove it with hard evidence.

I can only hope members of Trump’s base will admit they’ve been played for fools and stop this childish “whataboutism” game. Most adults gave that elementary school idiocy up long before they reached their teens.

Trump instigated an insurrection in our Capitol Building, and more than 1,033 of the rioters have been arrested. Almost 500 federal defendants have received sentences so far. Trump’s time is coming in that act of treason. So, the legal cases are going to continue until Trump is brought to bear for every illegal act he has committed.

Bravo to Mr. Rod Dagnan for his exceptional critique of Donald Trump.

I want to offer a few more comments about Mr. Ralph Miller’s response to Ms. Renee Smith’s letter.

Mr. Miller began by immediately addressing three unrelated subjects to Ms. Smith’s letter in his attempt to prove a vendetta exists:

1. The FBI’s handling of the Hunter Biden laptop;

2. FBI Director James Comey’s endorsement of President Biden despite the President also discovered to have classified documents; and

3. A document regarding information on the Bidens, requested from the FBI by a House Committee.

None of these three subjects have anything, nothing, zero, zip, nada to do with the subject, “It’s Not A Vendetta”. If anything, they are the beginning of a foundation that there is a vendetta against President Biden. But that should be the subject of another exchange of viewpoints.

As Mr. Miller continues, he conjures a bogus pattern that the unrelated actions to which he refers are supposed to be evidence of a vendetta against Trump. If he intended to lead the reader to an inference, I’m stymied as to what the inference is.

Most likely, any debate coach would point out Mr. Miller’s letter failed to prove that there was a vendetta against Trump, as believed by Mr. Miller, Senator Blackburn, MTG, Rep. Jordan, Speaker McCarthy, millions of citizens, and the media: Fox, OANN, NewsMax and Brietbart, et.al. You simply don’t use unrelated subjects to support your stance. Much like the kid with his hand caught in the cookie jar saying an older sibling took a cookie earlier to justify his taking a cookie after being told no.

I’ll also ask if the Lewis Grizzard quote is more apropos to Mr. Miller than Ms. Smith?
