Jerry L. McBride, 83, of Ringgold, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, September 16, 2023.

A resident of Ringgold for most of his life, Mr. McBride was a retired general contractor with Central City Construction Co., after 40 years of service.

He was a member of Faithbridge Church and in his earlier years he enjoyed deep sea fishing and was a classic car collector.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Evelyn McBride; two sons, Darren McBride, Chattanooga and Stephen McBride, Ringgold; two grandchildren, Katherine McBride and Riley Spoon, both of Signal Mtn; sister in law, Charlotte Spinden, Ringgold; niece, Christi (Don) Chapman, Ringgold; daughter in law, Kristin (Bjorn) Spoon, Signal Mountain; several cousins.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 20, at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Wayne Blake officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Cemetery with Steve Byrd, Dean Peters, Bjorn Spoon, Riley Spoon, Brian McFalls, Tom Kinnamon, and Ralph Richards serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, Sept. 19, from 5-7 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, 454 E. Brainerd Road.
