Phillip Holtzclaw, age 77, of Dalton, Georgia, went home to be with the Lord on September 20, 2023, at his home.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Junior and Evelyn Holtzclaw; sons, Phillip Jr. and Mark Holtzclaw; and brothers, Lloyd and Larry Holtzclaw.

Phillip was a member of Salem Baptist Church.

He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years Betty Holtzclaw; sons and daughters-in-law, Keith and Tabitha Holtzclaw of Dalton, Jason and Deborah Holtzclaw of Dalton; grandchildren, Emma and Jameson Holtzclaw, Lauren (Taylor) Fleming, Tommy and Brianna Peden; great-grandchildren, Aubrey and Jaylee Fleming; special friends, Jim O’Bryant, Claudette Ryall, Billy and Claudette Willis; nieces and nephews also survive.

The funeral services will be held Friday, Sept. 22, at 3 p.m. at Salem Baptist Church with Rev. Billy Willis Sr. officiating.

The family will receive friends at the church from 1 p.m. until the service time of 3 p.m.

The burial will be at West Hill Cemetery.

Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions can be made to Salem Baptist Church.
