The development office at Cambridge Square has announced a new tenant to its retail offering with the addition of Chêne Blanc, a home décor and gift shop owned and operated by Ooltewah resident Hallie DeHart. Cambridge Square is a commercial and residential community located off Lee Highway in Ooltewah. It is home to more than 40 locally-owned businesses, including restaurants, retailers and professional service firms.
In addition to home décor, Chêne Blanc (French for White Oak, and a nod to the local landscape) will specialize in bridal registries, hostess gifts, tabletop and dining accessories and bedding.
Ms. DeHart has established retail lines exclusive to the store, and a shopping experience that is customized for its patrons.
Chêne Blanc will occupy approximately 2,000 square feet in what was formerly the Barn Door Boutique space, located on the community’s common square. The space is expected to deliver in the first quarter of 2024, with a store opening slated for spring of 2024. Barn Door Boutique will be expanding into a new space in a building now under construction, with delivery for that building scheduled for the end of this year.
“We are very excited to welcome Chêne Blanc into our tenant family,” said Jim Cheney, who heads up marketing and leasing for Cambridge. “We think Hallie has a strong vision that will meet a demand in this market. Beyond that, we are delighted that our retailers are meeting with significant success, expanding in an environment where many brick-and-mortar locations struggle against online convenience. It’s testament that there is no real substitute to a genuine boutique shopping experience.”
“Chêne Blanc is thrilled to be joining the Cambridge Square family and servicing the Ooltewah community with a shopping experience that’s unique, personal and all about the details,” said Ms. DeHart. “Our community continues to grow, and our home décor and gift shop offers convenience for the quick hostess gift and quality pieces that you’ll want to pass down for generations.”
