Pi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Hosting Panel Discussion

The Pi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. will host a panel discussion titled: “Pregnancy Deaths Among African American Women” on Thursday, Feb. 1.
 
The panel will address the stigma, risks, and treatment options available to all pregnant and postpartum women. The panel will be moderated by Cynthia Finch who spent 30 years in healthcare and holds a master's degree in social work.
 
The panelists will answer questions about their perspectives and provide options for the prevention of maternal mortality and the promotion of women’s health.
The event will occur on Thursday, Feb. 1, at Greater Tucker Missionary Baptist Church at 1115 North Moore Road from 5 to 7 p.m.
