Freedom Sings USA invites all veterans, songwriters and community members to an open house event on Tuesday, Oct. 8 at 5:30 p.m. at 321 Browns Ferry Road.
Officials said, "Join us at our location next to Dread Hollow for an evening of music, camaraderie and support. This event is a great opportunity for veterans to connect with fellow service members and local songwriters, while exploring how songwriting and collaboration can alleviate the effects of stress and trauma. Whether you’re a seasoned musician or just looking to say hello, everyone is welcome to come and participate.
Bring your instruments, come ready to jam, or simply enjoy the company of others."

Attendees will have the chance to learn about new songwriting and music-arts therapy classes available in the area. Refreshments, including coffee, beverages and snacks, will be provided.
“We believe that music can be a powerful tool for healing and community-building,” said Bobbie Allison-Standefer, executive director at Freedom Sings USA. “We encourage veterans to join us for a fun and supportive evening.”
