Brenda Carolyn Brown Fleming, 74, of Chattanooga, formerly of Knoxville and Powell went home to be with her Lord and Savior on October 22, 2024, at home surrounded by her family.

Brenda was born in Andersonville, Tn., on Nov. 6, 1949, to Luther and Genevive Brown.

She professed her faith in Christ at age 18. She was currently a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Chattanooga,

Brenda loved family gatherings and preparing the meal. When they heard nanna was cooking, they all showed up. She loved her family dearly. Her sweet and gentle spirt will be missed by all who knew her.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Sue Branam and brother Chuck Brown.

She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Michael “Mike” Fleming; daughters, Karen Guerrero, Susanne Flynn (Christian) and Layla Fleming; grandchildren, Zachary Samples, Hannah Guerrero, Evan Guerrero and Christian Guerrero; great-grandchildren, Jayden, Wyatt, and Noah Samples; sisters, Shirley Cooper, Linda Weaver, Diane Martin (Bob), Joyce Helton, and Connie Brown; brothers, Jim, Bobby Lynn, David (Cindy), and Wesley Brown; sister-in-law, Kathy Fleming Chambers (Julius); brother-in-law, Patrick Fleming (Marilyn); numerous nieces and nephews; fur babies, Sophie and Ollie.

Special thanks to health hospice for their excellent care.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, Oct. 27, at Christ United Methodist Church, 8645 East Brainerd Road Chattanooga, Tn. 37421 at 3 p.m. with Rev. Debbie Stokes and Rev. David Hall officiating. Visitation will be held from 2–3 pm.

In Lieu of flowers consider a donation to Christ United Methodist Church, The American Cancer Society or the charity of your choice.
