ELLA Library announces the grand opening of its new independent bookshop, AND THEN BOOKS, at 400 Spring St. in Rossville. The grand opening event will take place on Saturday, Oct. 19, from 12-4 p.m.
Since 2016, ELLA Library has been a hub for storytelling and a sanctuary for readers. The addition of AND THEN BOOKS marks an expansion of the library's offerings, bringing a new literary venture to the community.
At the grand opening event, attendees can explore AND THEN BOOKS' diverse collection of books, discover hidden gems and find new favorites. In addition to the bookstore, the venue will also house a community art studio. Visitors can engage in hands-on art activities, showcase their talents, and participate in workshops designed to inspire and nurture local artists of all ages.
To enhance the experience, the Cheiman Tea Mini Truck will be on-site from 12-2 p.m., offering refreshments to attendees.
As a token of appreciation, the first 50 visitors will receive a discount voucher for their next book or studio class purchase, extending the celebration beyond the grand opening event.
AND THEN BOOKS aims to create a space where every book carries a story that extends beyond its pages—a journey shared from one reader to another. By supporting the bookshop, visitors contribute to a cycle of learning, imagination, and community spirit, aligning with ELLA Library's non-profit mission, said officials.
"We invite the community to be a part of our story and let us be a part of yours," said Jazmine LeBlanc, co-founder of ELLA Library. "We look forward to welcoming everyone to our cozy corner of the literary world, where stories come to life and connections are made."
