Mattie “Joann” Davis
Mattie “Joann” Davis, 83, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, October 4, 2024.
She was born on November 27, 1940, and was raised in Chattanooga.
Joann worked for Mohawk Carpets. She loved cheering on the Atlanta Braves and the Tennessee Vols. Joann also enjoyed playing board games and cards.
She was preceded in death by her father, John F. Thomas; mother, Ruth Mae Berry; and a brother, Johnny Thomas.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, William (Donna) Davis, Jr., and John Anthony (Deanna) Davis; grandson, Tyler Davis; niece, Lynn Holcomb; nephew, Greg Thomas; and other extended family members and friends.

A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 7, at Hamilton Memorial Gardens in Chattanooga.
The family will receive friends on Monday, Oct. 7, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.
