The mayor and Council of the city of Dalton will hold a special called meeting on Thursday at 5 p.m. at Dalton City Hall to appoint Steve Roberts to the position of Parks and Recreation director.
The Council voted on Sept. 26 to name Mr. Roberts as the sole finalist for the position which triggered a 14-day waiting period before he can be officially hired.
That waiting period is mandated by state law. The waiting period expires on Oct. 10.
