Circle K Employee Discovers Meth In Bag - And Other Collegedale Police Calls

Officers were approached by an employee from the Circle K, located in the 9300 block of Lee Highway, who had found a clear baggie containing a crystal-like substance. The substance was field tested and it showed positive for methamphetamines.

A resident in the 10100 block of Crestmont Drive called to report that 2 unknown vehicles were parked and occupied in front of their home. Contact was made and the occupants were found to be waiting for their boss to show up so they could cut trees.

Officers got out with a broken down vehicle in the 4900 block of Ooltewah Ringgold Road. They were able to push the vehicle out of the way and re-open the roadway.

An elderly adult was reported missing after walking away from their home in the 9600 block of Homewood Circle. The individual was located later in the evening near the 9200 block of Lee Highway and found to have a Hamilton County warrant for failure to appear. They were transported to the jail.

Officers received a call about horses loose in the 10000 block of Sunny Lane. The owner had picked up and put away the horses before officers arrived on scene.

Police were dispatched to a domestic disorder at the Hawthorne at the Summit apartment complex. It was found to have been a verbal argument only.

A suspected shoplifter was arrested at the Walmart after police discovered that while the individual was concealing stolen merchandise, they were also concealing illegal narcotics and drug paraphernalia.

A Collegedale fugitive was booked on a failure to appear warrant and released on bond.

A business alarm was activated in the 5100 block of Ooltewah Ringgold Road. Everything checked out ok.

A two car crash was reported in the 5500 block of Little Debbie Parkway.

An unknown 9-1-1 call came in from the 5500 block of Little Debbie Parkway. The area was checked but no emergencies were found.

A resident in the 5900 block of Tallant Road made a noise complaint involving the noise from the police department’s gun range while the Tennessee Highway Patrol used it during the evening hours.

A vehicle struck a deer in the 10600 block of Lee Highway. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

Collegedale police assisted the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office by making contact with residents in the 9600 block of Regency Court in reference to a vehicle they had sold.
