The Junior League of Chattanooga will host Touch-a-Truck Chattanooga on Saturday, Nov. 16, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at Warner Park, 1100 McCallie Ave.
Touch-a-Truck Chattanooga is a family-friendly, hands-on experience that gives children the chance to explore, climb and touch a variety of trucks and vehicles, including emergency response vehicles, heavy machinery and other equipment. Kids will also meet the local heroes and professionals who protect, serve and build the community.
“This event is a unique opportunity for children to engage with the trucks and people that all help to create a strong sense of community,” said Melissa Loper, president of The Junior League of Chattanooga. “It’s not only an adventurous day for families, but also a chance for children to be excited about their future and explore possible careers in fields like public service, construction, farming and manufacturing.”
In addition to trucks, local food and art vendors will also be on-site. This year’s event will also include a special Quiet Hour from 9-10 a.m. for children who are sensitive to noise and flashing lights, ensuring that everyone can enjoy the event in a comfortable environment.
Tickets for Touch-a-Truck are $5 per person or $20 for a family of four or more. Children age 2 and under are admitted for free.
Businesses and individuals interested in participating in the event are encouraged to contact the Junior League of Chattanooga at fd-events@jlchatt.org.
