Reports are Senator Ed Markey, D-MA and Rep James Clyburn, D-SC are encouraging Joe Biden to grant “preemptive” pardons to Jack Smith and Liz Cheney. Others named were General Milley, Robert Muller, Dr Faucci and Russia hoaxer Rep Adam Schiff. So what offenses against the United States were committed or perhaps will be committed by these folks who some Democrats want “preemptively” pardoned.
The patrician Senator Markey still desperately clings to their fascism hoax which likely plays well to the Harvard crowd who hired Claudine Gay. Clyburn has been credited with helping Biden win the 2020 nomination after two primary losses. Their involvement lends political overtones to the pardons.
The lamest of ducks may not be able to finish a comment but he can still commute 1,500 sentences and grant 39 more pardons before he wanders from the Oval Office. He even indicated there could be more. So his staff needs to hang a sign on 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue that says “Pardons R’ Us.”

Obviously, Mr. Miller has no problems with the 144 pardons that Trump issued during his first term. Some of the criminals he pardoned are being considered for some of the highest cabinet members in the upcoming disaster of Trump's second term.
Biden has pardoned a total of 39 people during his term.
So, again, manufactured rage and hypocrisy. It's okay, apparently, to Mr. Miller, if his side does the pardoning, then they are all warranted. Remember, it's only for me (MAGA) and not for thee (everyone else).

Richard Smith, I encourage you to have another cup of coffee and then re-read Ralph Miller's opinion letter. The primary subject of his letter was the possibility of "preemptive" pardons. It's the old "head them off at the pass" line I heard when I grew up watching Saturday morning westerns. It's what Roy Rogers, Hopalong Cassidy or the Lone Ranger might say, in order to catch the bad guys.
In the case of preemptive pardons, it's to pardon a crime before it has a chance to go before a Grand Jury for an indictment. It's for when you know there has been a crime that has yet to see the light of day, or has been protected by the party of power, who is losing that power.
The rest of his letter could be construed as Mr. Miller believing that 1,500 plus is a greater number than the 144 you refer to. I guess I'll have to do the math on that point.
