Derryberry Public Relations welcomes Molly Smith as account manager for the firm. Ms. Smith is the former senior executive assistant to Mayor Tim Kelly.  In that role she served as a liaison between the mayor and department staff and was on point for working with departments to track ongoing projects for deliverables and timely updates.

Prior to that time, Ms. Smith served as a digital producer and assignment desk editor at Local 3 News.  In that role Ms. Smith was responsible for Local 3’s nightside digital operations where she gathered and wrote content for the station’s app, website and social media accounts. Ms. Smith coordinated assignments for a crew of up to 24 reporters, photographers and producers.

Ms. Smith graduated Cum Laude from UTC and recently completed Harvard Business School’s “Power and Influence for Positive Impact” course. She is also a graduate of the citizen’s academy for the Chattanooga Police Department and Chattanooga Fire Department.

“Our firm is excited to have Molly working with clients as we continue to make a difference for the clients we serve,” said Robin Derryberry. “Finding someone with her expertise and skillsets is invaluable to our efforts; however, an important attribute for us is having someone who understands sensitive client work and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Molly is a perfect fit for our team.”
