Remonia Jackson was born on December 26, 1955, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, to Altha V. Jackson and Nathaniel Jackson Sr. Remonia was called home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on November 18, 2024.

Remonia attended Brainerd High School and was employed by Saint Barnabas Nursing Home for over 30 years. She was a New Home Missionary Baptist Church member until her health failed. Remonia loved the Lord, and her faith never wavered. She loved her daughter and grandchildren with all her heart. She loved people, had a forgiving heart, and always gave you her all.

Remonia was preceded in death by her mother, Altha V. Jackson, and sisters, Virginia P.Wilkerson and Sharon Ginn; brother and sister-in-law, Nathaniel Jackson Jr, and Myrtis L. Jackson; grandparents, Jesse and Gladys Jackson, and John and Lenora Walker.

Cherishing her memories include her father, Nathaniel Jackson Sr.; devoted daughter, Gina M. Coonrod (Cornelius Bruce Sr.); grandchildren, Tamaya, Cornelius Jr., Corsean,and Cordarius Bruce all of Chattanooga; brothers, Millard G., Michael A., and Frederick M. Jackson all of Chattanooga; sisters, Nadine (Dennis) Fortson of Chattanooga, and Cecilia (Ollie Peters Jr.) of Arkansas; a devoted niece, Jeaneanne Parks, and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Public visitation will be from 2-6 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 13, at the funeral home.

An 11 a.m. Celebration of Remonia's life will be held on Saturday, Dec. 14, at New Horizon Baptist Church, 2007 East 27th Street, with Pastor Dr. Willie Paul officiating.

Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Gardens.
