Christina O'Bryant
Christina Elisabeth O’Bryant, age 45 of Athens, passed away Wednesday morning February 21, 2024 in Cleveland, Tn.
She was born on November 24, 1978 in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl., the daughter of the late Dudley “Duke” Dwight Johnston, and her mother, Renate (Grabke) Johnston.
Christina was born in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl., before moving to Dayton Mountain. She was a certified nursing assistant and worked as a housekeeper. She loved the outdoors, spending time hiking, swimming, traveling, going to concerts, watching horror movies, listening to music, and especially the band HIM.
In addition to her mother, Renate Johnston of Dayton Mountain, Christina is survived by her husband, Patrick O’Bryant of Athens; her daughter, Brynn McMillin of Cookeville; her twin sister, Nicole Johnston-Marler of Dayton, and her two sisters, Michelle (Steve) Kelley and Monika Prestwood, both of Soddy Daisy; several nieces and nephews; her best friend, LeAnn Smith of Grandview; and her four beloved basset hounds, Eeyore, Copper, Bubay, and Vidalia.
Funeral services for Christina will be held on Sunday, Feb. 25, at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. John Fields officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Johnston Family Cemetery on Dayton Mountain.
