Cleveland State Speech And Debate Team Wins First Place

The Speech and Debate team at Cleveland State Community College was awarded first place in the Community Colleges Debate at the Tennessee Intercollegiate Forensics Association State Championship held at the college.

Nikita Gabel and Per Selander took second place in parliamentary debate. Alix Mingie and Victoria Burnette made it to semifinals in parliamentary debate. Laurie Rowland, Speech and Debate director of Forensics and department chair of Humanities, received The Graham Kash TIFA Coach of the Year award.
