Dark Roast Entertainment Hall On Frazier Avenue Says It May Have To Close

  • Tuesday, April 2, 2024

Operators of The Dark Roast entertainment hall in North Chattanooga said they may have to close due to financial woes.

It is located in the Stone Cup at 208 Frazier Ave. and has operated for almost five years.

The management said it is trying to continue through benefit shows and a GoFundMe page.

Officials said, "We need your help! The Dark Roast has been a cherished hub for live music in North Chattanooga, going on five years now. However, like many small music venues, we are facing unprecedented challenges that threaten our existence.

"The Dark Roast isn't just a place for entertainment; it's a vital part of our community. It's where local bands get their start, where friends gather to enjoy performances, and where new connections are formed over shared love for music.

"Despite our best efforts, the financial strain has hit us hard. Due to forces out of our control, things like rent, utilities, maintenance, and staffing costs continue to increase and accumulate, while our revenue streams have dwindled.

"Your support can make all the difference. By contributing to this fundraiser, you're not just helping to keep our doors open; you're investing in the heart and soul of our community."
