Billy W. Bowman
Billy W. Bowman, 83, of Rossville, Georgia passed away Thursday, May 16, 2024.
He was born to the late Bennie C. Bowman and Louise Bowman Walker on October 23, 1940 in Ringgold, Georgia. He was a graduate of Jefferson City High School and he also attended Carson Newman University. He was a self-employed draftsman for 63 years running two successful businesses. He was a member of Canaan Baptist Church serving as a Deacon, Sunday School teacher, and choir director. He was an avid Tennessee Vols fan and a great softball player in the Chattanooga Area. Billy was an accomplished man, but nothing was more important to him than his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bennie C. Bowman and Louise Bowman.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Linda Bowman; children, Pam (Donald) Baker, David (Kim) Bowman, Tracy (Tim) Pritchett, and Mark (Lisa) Bradford, sister, Barbara Barton; 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members and friends.

The funeral service will be held 12:00 p.m. on Monday, May 20, 2024 in the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory with Pastor Joe Gill officiating. Nic Baker, Tyler Baker, Jonathan Bowman, Hunter Pritchett, Jeremiah Pritchett, Henry Horne, Rick Posey, and Len Hicks will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends Sunday, May 19, 2024 from 4-8 p.m. in the South Crest Chapel.
Interment will follow the service at Lakewood Memory Gardens South Rossville, Georgia.
