Donnie Williams, 70, was born on February 20, 1954, to the late Baby Love and Thophles Williams, Sr. in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He departed this life on June 8, 2024.

Donnie was a graduate of Riverside High School class of 1973. He was a member of Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Donnie was a loving brother. He would call his sisters Brenda and Patricia at least once a week and ask, “Has anybody told you, you are special today?” He loved being around family and friends. He always had a smile on his face and never met a stranger. His close friends knew him as “Donnie Red.”

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Linda Williams; and brother, Darryl Michael Williams.

He leaves to cherish his memory his son, Donnie Trammell Henry; grandson, Matthew Henry; brother, Thophles (Mary) Williams, Jr.; sisters, Patricia Williams (Monroe) Jones, and Brenda Williams (George) Autry, all of Chattanooga, TN; special friends, Wanda Henry, Bernard Jones, Johnny Garth, and a host of relatives and friends.

Public viewing will be held from 9-11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 18, at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, followed by a 11:30 a.m. chapel service. Interment will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
