Robert D. “Bob” Vickery, 93, of East Ridge, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, July 15, 2024, surrounded by his family.

He was born in Chattanooga, on Aug. 18, 1930. Bob graduated from Central High School Class of 1948. He was a member of Ridgeview Baptist Church, and he loved the Lord with all his heart. He was the owner/operator of Vickery Wallcovering Service. Bob enjoyed woodworking and was a huge fan of the Tennessee Volunteers.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Mary Vickery, and brother, Joe Vickery.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of nearly 74 years, Geneva Vickery; son, David Vickery; daughter, Sharon (Andy) Schaffers; sister, Ernestine Ralston; eight grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, July 22, in the funeral home chapel.

The family will receive friends Monday from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour of 2 p.m. at the Lane Funeral Home South Crest Chapel.
