Police responded to an apartment in the 900 block of Spring Creek Road after a concerned neighbor observed two young children walking around the property by themselves. Police located the children, who returned to their apartment.
Police responded to the 4300 block of Ringgold Road after Chattanooga Police requested assistance in apprehending an aggravated robbery suspect. Officers moved in on the location and where able to take the suspect into custody without incident. The suspect was transported by CPD for questioning.
East Ridge Police along with GSP, HCSO, CPD, Catoosa County and others, assisted THP in searching the area for a vehicular homicide suspect who ran from them.
A man was found sleeping on the sidewalk in the 3800 block of Ringgold Road.
He was checked for warrants and given a courtesy ride.
Police observed a residence's front door open with the leasing resident's vehicle parked in the driveway in the 200 block of Edwina Court. Officers entered and cleared the structure and found no one home. Police secured the residence.
Police spoke with a woman in the 1300 block of John Ross Road who said she has an ex-boyfriend harassing her through social media and text messages. She told police the harassment had occurred since the day she broke up with the man. Harassment charges are pending further investigation.
A burglar alarm at a business in the 400 block of McBrien Road was found to be an accidental activation by a worker.
A caller in the 300 block of Tanager Circle reported the tag for her new vehicle was sent by the tag and title office to her old address and she needed to file a report to receive a new one.
Police responded to the 900 block of Spring Creek on report of an unconscious man. Medical personnel determined the homeless person was dehydrated, but refused further care. The man was given a Gatorade and
sent on his way.
A man in the 1500 block of Waterhouse Street reported his ex-girlfriend had been harassing him through texts and work emails. He was advised to stop communicating with her and was advised on steps to obtain a TPO.
A man was served with an Alias Capias at the Hamilton County Jail. The original charge for the Capias was driving on revoked, suspended, or canceled license.
Staff in the 400 block of Camp Jordan Parkway reported that a man destroyed flowers outside their building following a verbal dispute. The facility did not wish to prosecute for the damages, but requested a report in case there was another incident.
East Ridge Police responded to a residence in the 3600 block of Parham Drive after the ER Fire Department forced entry into the house. A fire originated in the kitchen of the home but was contained by the responding firefighters. Police made a report to document the front door damage.
Police were called to the 1000 block of Hurst Street on reports of a white vehicle speeding through the neighborhood. The reporting party also reported hearing a small caliber gun shot. Officers checked the area but did not locate any vehicles or evidence of gun fire.
Chattanooga PD requested ERPD support with a crash in the 5200 block of Brained Road. Police determined a stolen black sedan was involved in a three-vehicle crash, and two occupants fled the scene. Police also determined the two fleeing occupants were potential suspects in an attempted murder. ER Police located one suspect and detained him until CPD arrived on scene. East Ridge Police along with THP assisted in establishing a perimeter with CPD which led to the capture of the second suspect.
Hamilton County Deputies attempted to stop a stolen red 2022 Ford Maverick near 400 E. Brainerd Road, but the vehicle fled. HCSO Deputies pursued the vehicle and requested the assistance from other agencies. ERPD patrol units set up spike locations near the I-75 and I-24 off ramps; however, the vehicle never left the interstate when traveling through East Ridge. HCSO units eventually lost the vehicle near the intersection of South Seminole Road
and Brainerd Road.
