Whether you are one of its thousands of residents or a lucky human visitor, being at the Tennessee Aquarium after normal operating hours just hits different. On Aug. 23, a new nighttime event for ages 21 and up will let guests explore the River Journey building while sampling craft brews and seeing what the animals get up to when the sun sets. Sea-king a fun date night? Feeling like a leisurely float through the galleries with friends? Nightlife: Aquarium After-Hours has something for night owls, twilight turtles and later ’gators of all sorts.

During Nightlife, guests can relax and enjoy beer samples from local and regional breweries or non-alcoholic Coca-Cola products. As they venture through the galleries, participants will discover fin-tastic facts about the Aquarium’s world-class freshwater exhibits and vie for special prizes with a scavenger hunt. Throughout the building, Aquarium educators also will be on hand to serve up fun — and slightly fishy — trivia through a series of “Curiosity Cart” activities.

So WATER you waiting for? Register for this special event online today!
