Good Old Museum In Soddy Daisy Open Thursday Through Saturday

  • Wednesday, July 3, 2024

The Good Old Museum will be open not only Friday and Saturday, but since it is the 4th of July, will be open Thursday as well.  The hours will be the same, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Officials said, "We would be glad to have you any of these three days. Come and check out our World War II display and if you have photos of men or women which served during the war from the Soddy or Daisy area, please bring a photo of them for us to copy and add to our wall of veterans. We prefer actual photos to copy. Newspaper photos do not copy well. We could display over 200 photos but so many are from scrap books and are cut from the newspaper and, as we have said, these do not copy well."

The museum is at the corner of Depot Street and Wall Street, at 11298 Wall Street. It is located in the 103-year-old Soddy Bank building.

If you have a question, you can call Steve Smith about the museum or old photos of Soddy or Daisy at 423 718-0528.
