An employee, stated a male threw a soda can at the window from the parking lot, entered the restaurant and placed an order. While the order was being prepared, he began hugging the employees. He became disruptive to their business by engaging with and following customers, including a female he followed into the women’s bathroom. The man was told he would have to leave. He began throwing chairs against the wall and exited the establishment.
Once outside he attempted to fight employees behind the building. The man fled, on foot, once he realized ERPD was enroute. He was not initially located, however approximately 20 minutes later, ERPD again were called as he was in the parking lot and now running across US41. ERPD contacted him and placed him into custody.
ERPD conducted a brief funeral escort for the family of a parishioner to State Line Road.
The caller notified police after her fiancé’s other fiancé, messaged her over Facebook informing her she was engaged to the same man. She was advised to block the party and let police know if she continued messaging her.
A Loss Prevention employee reported an unknown young male stole $238.96 worth of fishing equipment on 08/09/24. The suspect re-entered the store 30 minutes later and again stole $499.92 worth of fishing equipment before leaving in a newer model black Ford F-150 (unknown tag) towards Camp Jordan Parkway. Two warrants for Theft of Property (Shoplifting) will be sought upon identification of the suspect.
ERPD assisted HCSO after a Lieutenant was flagged down by two children in the park. The children presented him with a suspicious note and advised they saw a female kneeling near the note, possibly in distress. Police canvassed the area but did not locate anyone fitting the description.
The RP reported a woman called his phone multiple times today and left a voicemail requesting to retrieve her belongings. He currently has an order of protection in place keeping her from contacting him due to a previous domestic assault. A warrant will be sought.
A woman was served with a warrant after she was contacted by the Chattanooga Police Department. CPD agreed to transport her to the jail and the paperwork was faxed to be served.
A woman reported her SNAP Benefits account was hacked and depleted of almost $300 by parties unknown in New York and required a police report to have her account replenished.
A concerned citizen reported a male party slumped over in the driver’s seat of Chevy S-10 in the parking lot. On scene, police encountered a man and woman asleep in the vehicle. After waking the parties, they advised the vehicle became inoperable on the previous night and decided to sleep in it until this morning when they would walk to East Lake to obtain assistance. The parties’ information was verified, and they were sent on their way.
Police observed a white Volkswagen sedan traveling at a high rate of speed on S. Germantown Road. Police also determined the vehicle matched a BOLO from Chattanooga for an Aggravated Assault suspect. Police initiated emergency lights and sirens and caught up with the speeding vehicle at the intersection of S. Germantown Road and Brainerd Road. The white sedan immediately pulled into a parking lot and police conducted a felony stop. CPD also responded to the scene. After an on-scene investigation, ERPD Officers arrested the driver and charged him with Driving on a Revoked License (DUI), Speeding, and Reckless Endangerment. CPD Officers also arrested a passenger in vehicle and charged with him Assault. ERPD Officers also recovered a Taurus 9mm handgun from the vehicle and placed it into the ERPD Property and Evidence. Two intoxicated passengers from the vehicle were released to a family member who responded to the location.
Police were called for a Disorder involving an intoxicated customer. Officers found that a man requested a refund for a $210 bottle of alcohol and became loud and disruptive when the refund was not provided. During the verbal disorder, the suspect escalated his behavior and approached a female employee in an aggressive manner. Another customer stepped in to protect the female employee and a physical altercation ensued. Police arrived on scene and stopped the altercation. The man was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication, Disorderly Conduct, and Simple Assault.
The caller reported six prescription Suboxone tablets were stolen from her home. She further stated she went to her mother’s house for approximately 45 minutes and left her door unlocked. Upon her return, the tablets were found missing. No other items were reported stolen and there were no suspects identified.
A concerned citizen reported a female with a child was being chased by an adult male. Police located the individuals near the Camp Jordan Arena. The adult couple stated they were arguing when they left a restaurant, but there were no major issues. Police checked the individuals and released them from the scene.
An anonymous person stated seven to ten juveniles were yelling and creating a disorder in the area. Officers checked the area and did not locate any juveniles or evidence of a disorder.
ERPD responded on report of two males peering into windows of a residence. Upon arrival, a male was in the front yard who accurately identified himself and stated, eventually, he was on the premises with the second party and stated he believed there were warrants for the arrest of the man. The residence’s yard was checked however the subject was not located. Several minutes later, a male of matching description was located in the 3300 block Navajo Drive. This person identified himself by another name, yet he was recognized as the wanted party. He was handcuffed, because of his attempt at subterfuge, and a pat down search conducted. A syringe, with no needle, was found in his left front jean pocket.
Franklin North Carolina Police Department requested an NCIC locate for a woman and her juvenile child. ERPD contacted Franklin North Carolina Police Department. Both parties were located and in good health and were removed from NCIC as missing.
ERPD assisted ERFD on an Unknown Medical Issue
A driver for a rideshare/ food delivery reported a dispenser employee at at the store caused a small dent in the rear passenger side of his 2017 silver Hyundai Sonata when they were removing groceries from an order he was returning. Officers advised him this was a civil matter that he needed to address with the store, but he insisted on a police report.
The neighbor reported loud music coming from this residence. Officers spoke with the resident and asked them to turn the music down to satiate the neighbor, which they complied.
Police were again summoned by the neighbor after she heard music coming from their residence. Officers advised the complainant that the neighbor was acting within city ordinance, however, her interpretation of the ordinance disagreed with officers. The complainant was advised to speak with the city council about changes to the ordinance to better suit her needs.
Police responded to the area of the welcome center after a caller reported an older male pulling a suitcase was observed walking on the interstate. Officers located the subject on the northbound ramp and provided him with a courtesy ride to the bus stop after verifying his information.
Police responded on a report of a theft. An employee for the business reported a skinny male wearing a black jacket and khaki pants stole a Euro Gas N20 2000g cannister and fled the property in a black two door Acura with a Tennessee license plate. The vehicle was last observed traveling northbound on McBrien Road. The owner of the store will attempt to review closed-circuit television surveillance to help identify the subject.
ERPD responded on report of males peering into windows of a residence. Upon arrival, a male was in the front yard was found to have possible warrants and was detained. Upon a pat down search, a small amount of DAB and smoking paraphernalia was located. He was issued a Misdemeanor Citation.
Police observed a white SUV traveling in the middle of the roadway on Ringgold Road. The vehicle then came to a complete stop before turning into the gas station. Officers stopped the vehicle and determined the driver was driving while intoxicated. She was arrested and transported her to the Hamilton County Jail.
The resident reported an unknown suspect had entered her apartment and stolen a computer bag containing personal documents. She also advised her mother was home during the suspected burglary. The door was locked during the burglary, and she was unsure how anyone made entry into the residence. Police did not observe any signs of forced entry.
ERPD responded to this address at the request of the Chattanooga PD. A resident of the home was a suspect in a domestic assault in Chattanooga. ERPD Officers were unable to locate the suspect and determined her vehicle was not at home. Police later found that she turned herself into Chattanooga PD.
A caller advised that two individuals were attempting to enter a vehicle in the parking lot. On scene, police observed the back door of a Dodge Dart to be unsecure. Officers found no signs of forced entry, and nothing appeared out of place. Police checked the surrounding area but did not locate any suspicious individuals or any other signs of a vehicle burglary. The owner of the vehicle was not located, and the vehicle was not registered to the address.
The homeowner requested police assistance in removing a man from her shed. She had allowed him to reside in her shed for several months without issue. Officers provided her with information for the eviction process through the Hamilton County Court.
A concerned citizen provided police with a wallet he found outside of a restaurant. Officers were unable to contact the owner and the wallet was placed in the ERPD Property Room.
