Vols Recruiting Streak Keeps Rolling With Tight End Commit

  • Tuesday, August 6, 2024

Fresh off one of their biggest recruiting wins in decades, Josh Heupel and company show no signs of slowing down. On Sunday the top quarterback in the 2026 class, Faizon Brandon, committed to being the next five star Tennessee quarterback. Just hours later he has been joined in the '26 class by four star tight end Carson Sneed from Nashville.

Sneed is a rising junior at Donelson Christian Academy and already stands at 6'6'' and 235 pounds. The Vols fought off Ohio State, Ole Miss and Auburn for the highly touted tight end. On3 recruiting has him ranked as the tenth best tight end in the 2026 class.

Having a reputation as an old school, physical tight end, Sneed figures to fit in nicely with Heupel's offensive juggernaut. Tight end coach Alec Abeln has been red hot on the recruiting trail after bringing in multiple top prospects in the '24 class and having two four star commits in the '25 class.
