Hamilton County Coalition Hosts “Recovery Happens Together” Event

  • Friday, September 13, 2024

The Hamilton County Coalition and Showered with Hope are hosting “Recovery Happens Together” in Miller Park on Wednesday, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Attendees will be able to join and celebrate individuals and families in recovery. Treatment, recovery, and prevention resources will also be available at no cost.

Started in 1989, National Recovery Month is observed each September to highlight and support evidence-based treatment and recovery practices, honor the vibrant recovery community, and acknowledge the efforts of service providers and communities that make recovery possible in all its forms.

“National Recovery Month reminds us that healing is not a solitary journey but a long term, collective effort,” said Camilla Bibbs, executive director. “By highlighting the importance of collaboration, we foster a community where shared strength and mutual support pave the way for enduring recovery and hope.”

National Recovery Month celebrates the strength of those on their recovery journey and underscores the importance of community support. Hamilton County Coalition offers a range of programs, including Nu-Start, Re-Entry, and Lifeline to foster personal growth and empower lasting recovery.
