Temporary EBT Service Outage Beginning Sept. 21 Announced

  • Tuesday, September 17, 2024
The Tennessee Department of Human Services is preparing for an Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) vendor conversion, which will result in a temporary service interruption. This Saturday at 11 p.m. CDT until Sunday at 1 p.m. CDT, EBT cardholders will be unable to use their cards for food and cash purchases or withdrawals.

Additionally, the EBT Customer Service Helpline (888-997-9444) will offer limited support during this time.

"We want to emphasize that this is a temporary outage, and our team is committed to restoring services as quickly as possible," officials said.
"We encourage customers to plan ahead to minimize any inconvenience this may cause."
